Old system - Mac OSX Version 10.6.8 2.3 GHz Intel core i5. I have access to the old Mac as well (could Time Machine set up the old Mail version?) He is quite frustrated, and is unable to make the new version of Mail work for him despite multiple attempts. My question is if it is possible to install an older version of Mail on his new system, which will return the Address Book icon feature in Mail, or if there is any other way of securing this feature again. He is unable to use the little blue ➕ icon, as he is elderly and very set in the Address Book icon system. Unfortunately, it seems that the new version of Mail no longer has the Address Book icon integrated in Mail (I have searched all settings, and read questions on this site which indicate the feature has been removed). His main use for the Mac is the Mail application, where, when sending an e-mail, he is used to clicking the Address Book icon in the tool bar, and then selecting multiple contacts at once to e-mail. I recently helped an elderly Mac user purchase a new Mac Mini to replace his older MacBook.
